Da affermato manager posso dire che io non andrò mai in burn-out! Really, good for you!
Benvenuti, welcome! This the Power of Words with MV at VOCI.fm
Quante volte abbiamo sentito parlare di burn-out. In passato we would call it esaurimento nervoso, ma oggi è imperativo parlare inglese!
Podcast a cura di Max Veracini
Let’s see what that means:
noun
1) a fire that is totally destructive of something, un fuoco che ti brucia tutto quello che sta intorno, e quindi
2) fatigue, frustration, or apathy resulting from prolonged stress, overwork, or intense activity.
Mmmmh, non è solo un esaurimento nervoso, un breakdown! E allora let’s break it down to these other words, vediamo in dettaglio!
a) Fatigue:
weariness from bodily or mental exertion, profonda stanchezza del corpo e della mente, dal francese fatigue, dal verbo fatiguer (v.) and from Latin fatīgāre to tire, stancare! Che fatica star dietro a questi passaggi tra lingue!
b) Frustration:
a feeling of dissatisfaction, often accompanied by anxiety or depression, resulting from unfulfilled needs or unresolved problems, frustrazione, dal latino frustrātiō)
c) Apathy:
absence of passion, emotion, or excitement, lack of interest, apatia, dal francese or directly from Latin apathīa, dal greco apátheia, spero di avero pronunciato bene, “insensibility to suffering”, insensibilità alla sofferenza.
Insomma, vediamo di non andare in burn-out altrimenti non ci godiamo più le snippets del vostro buon Veracini di Voci.fm, mi raccomando!
Goodbye! Ci vediamo presto!
